Day Camps (Rising 1st-4th Graders)

Children who are rising 1st - 4th graders can spend the day at camp and join us for swimming, arts & crafts, archery, cooking, gardening, canoeing, Bible study and more! Skits and games, worship and swimming will set the stage for meaningful small group bible studies and larger group Christian Fellowship.  Come join us in tons of fun and fellowship on the shores of beautiful Lake Allatoona.

               

Discovery Camp - (Rising 2nd-3rd Graders)

  

A perfect way to introduce the joy of Christian camping to our youngest brothers and sisters in Christ. These sessions are designed to light the fire of Christian community in the hearts of our most energetic campers. For first time campers the three night session might be just right, while for braver, more experienced young ones the five night session might be more what you are looking for. You and your child choose!

               

Exploration Camp - (Rising 4-6th Graders)

Exploration sessions allow campers to explore the journey with Christ in their own lives. Skits and games, worship and swimming will set the stage for meaningful small group Bible studies and larger group Christian fellowship. Come enjoy campfires, arts & crafts, archery, cooking, gardening, canoeing, field games and more!

               

Night Owl Camp - (Rising 4th- 7th Graders)

  

Are you a night owl? Like to have late night adventures and sleep in the next day? Check out Night Owl Camp! For rising 5-7th graders, this session begins with breakfast at lunch time, and ends with tons of fun late night activities like night swims, glow in the dark games, astronomy and maybe even a nocturnal critter sighting or two! It’s a Hoot! Sign up early this session will fill up fast!

               

Middle School Connections Camp - (Rising 6th-8th Graders)

  

This takes all the traditional resident camp activities and throws in late night fun, spiritually challenging Bible study, smaller session sizes, an alternative schedule and summer staff who really know what it's like to be a budding adolescent today. You will begin to truly connect with your own Christian journey!

               

Adventure (RIsing 6th -8th) & Challenge Camps (Rising 9th- Completed 12th Graders)

Are you ready for an all-new line up of adrenaline pumping, faith shaping Challenges?  Come and challenge your body, mind and spirit through Christian community taken to a whole new level through the awesome power of High adventure!  Activities like rafting, caving, climbing, hiking and spending nights under the splendor of God’s heavens only amplifies the language of Christian Peace.

               

C.I.T. - (Counselor In Training) - (Rising 9th - Completed 12th Graders)

  

Entering 9th-Completed 12th Grades. This redesigned program is open to all Sr. High campers but strictly limited to 8 spaces per week on a first come first serve registration basis. During the C.I.T. (Counselor In Training) program campers participate in a resident camp session that mixes the fun of a typical resident camp program with the education necessary to understand the role of a counselor at Camp Cherokee. During each C.I.T. session campers will be provided with limited opportunities to practice their leadership skills and techniques under close supervision. C.I.T.s REGISTER ONLINE LIKE ALL OTHER RESIDENT CAMP SESSIONS.

               

Pathfinders - (Competitive Selection From Past C.I.T. Participants)

This program is the next step toward preparation as summer staff at Camp Cherokee where your young adult’s proven leadership skills and experience are the foundation for this program’s highly selective and competitive acceptance process. Once accepted, the Pathfinders program will hone your young leader’s skills and abilities to make them truly ready to be employed by an American Camping Association summer program. The Pathfinders track is designed to be the primary source for the next generation of Camp Cherokee summer staff. PA THFINDERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FULL STANDARD SUMMER STAFF APPLICATION PROCESS WHICH INCLUDES: WRITTEN APPLICATION, SUBMISSION OF REFERENCES, INTERVIEW AND SUBMISSION TO BACKGROUND CHECK.
